Sholay was the longest running film ever. Perhaps the only film that evokes the same response today as it did those many years ago. It actually had a script and the music was memorable, to say the least. Almost every Indian household that boasts of a decent collection of Hindi music keeps this on the shelves. ‘Yeh Dosti’ is upbeat and very catchy. One can't imagine a Sholay without an R.D.Burman - such was the effect of his music. ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ has a brilliant beat. Burman sang this one. The beauty of the song is in the select few instruments that have been chosen. Overall an album that is always a must-buy!
