As is the case in most of Gulzar's films, he writes the music himself. All the songs are extremely well composed and there appears to be a great deal of experimentation in the rhythms, which adds to the distinctiveness in Gulzar's Bollywood venture. The songs to keep an ear out for are 'Chappa Chappa' and 'Chhoddh Aaye Hum'. Overall, the score is excellent.
